Day -10

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45
For the next seven weeks I will be planning and working and teaching with three complete strangers from across the country at Nehemiah Vision Ministries' English camp. I'll be living on the compound in a tiny village called Chambrun, about an hour east of Port Au Prince.

And here I am on a rainy afternoon in Raleigh, typing from the comfort of my own bed, ten days out from possibly some of the greatest and most challenging days God will ever bless me with. I know I'm not nearly ready to go; mentally, physically, spiritually. I've never felt so inadequate to do His work.

But He doesn't ask for adequacy, He asks for obedience; and God awards obedience with readiness.

I haven't been faithful in preparation for the trip since I've been home, yet He has continually blessed me in ways I would have never imagined. He provided more than enough funds for me to go. He allowed me to be a part of Matthew's high school graduation as well as make the trip to Haiti. He gave me peace about having a home away from home. I couldn't have more joy in this adventure.
"They will be called the Holy People, the Redeemed of the LORD; and you will be called Sought After, the City No Longer Deserted." Isaiah 62:12
I am so looking forward to seeing Haiti grow and change and find Jesus in more ways than they know. I can't wait for His loved ones to see beauty from ashes and dry bones dance.
